The grand opening of the Room Service Lounge took place on Friday, September 4, 2009. Room Service Lounge, an exclusive sleek and sophisticated lounge, offers Atlantans a new era experience in upscale casual dining and entertainment.
Tamara Young and Richard "Skanedolla" Ford, owners of Room Service Lounge, have combined over 15 years of business experience and management skills to bring this exciting addition to Atlanta’s restaurant and social atmosphere. “We wanted to bring a fresh new vibe to Atlanta creating a memorable experience - a restaurant and lounge to come relax, socialize and lounge, while enjoying great food and drinks,” explain Young.
Tamara Young designed the interior and came up with the concept of Room Service Lounge for Atlantans to come Relax, Socialize,and Lounge.
Skanedolla" ,a record executive, creative business side and music experience brings a upbeat unforgetable experience when entering Room Service Lounge.
Room Service Lounge intends to provide a unique experience, complimentary to that of room service at a 5-star hotel, where each customer is catered to and treated as the ultimate guest. The 4100 square-foot Room Service Lounge is equipped with flat-screen televisions for its guests viewing pleasures, complimentary wi-fi for guests business or social needs, DJ booth for occasional special events, and full service bar with themed drink menu compliments of mixologist Derek Gordon. Signature drinks from the menu include; “do not disturb”, “white linen”, “wake up call” and “pillow mint”.
Walter Jordan, General Manager of Room Service Lounge, describes the restaurant and lounge as “luxurious with an inviting character and charm that embodies a modern, casual and upbeat atmosphere.”
Executive Chef Salsa Guzman’s southern-style cooking w/ French and Caribbean influence brings an exciting and unique flair to Room Service Lounge’s menu that is sure to please the restaurant’s guests. Davenport’s themed food menu offers a variety of dishes, from “check in” to “check out” items. Featured dishes include: Chicken & Waffles, Lobster Mac n’ Cheese, and Lamb Lollipops. Its menu also consists of a host of classic southern side dishes. Prices range from $10-$28 for entrees.
